Popular Cinema Movement (by s.salimkumar)

Popular Cinema Movement

The digital age is running fast with new products emerging every day.   Now we cannot call a film a film, because in the film industry film is less used for film making.  The digital technology will take over the films and the film technology will vanish through these times.

We can shoot, edit and release the film without the help of film, so we canot call the film a film.  Cinema halls all over the  world is changing with new technology and one of the largest manufacturers of the world, India cannot be an exeption for this.

If we have a digital camera it is useful take small cinemas  in the household and  itself and with the computers having softwares such as movie maker etc, we can edit and make copies of the 'film' and distribute through the internet also.

Once upon a time (!)_ we had the film society movement which was promoting good films by exhibiting them in the middle of the mass.  Because of the pseudo aptitudes of such  film makers and organisers  the movement   declined and the invasion of TV channels made distance between people and ccinema.

We watch cinema, but mostly not in the theatre.  We want to see the cinema in our houses.  For this purpose the pirated copies are available at open market in huge quantities.

If the new generation film makers can take the challenge to make small films which can be used for entertainment, conscientization and educational purposes, they can change the locality, state, or country with their fresh ideas and technological skills.

Now films are only the highly invested productions and the telefilms namely serials etc.  Cinema halls and the drawig rooms are the places for watching movies.  But with the new technology with  cute compact instruments to produce and exhibit  movies, it is essential to spread new  movement for spreadding  positive ideas through the media, using its maximum potential.

Audio visual education is essential for every student and citizen, so that they can survice in this technology savvy world.  We can use the camera as the pen is used by the writer.  Writing a movie with the camera will be a new experience.

We have to promote such movements which will popularise the ideas and ideologies of all generations which will enable the mass to interact each other with their visions, using  all possibilities and capacities ofthe latest technology.
